Jonathan Russell serves as Director of Strategic Collaboration and Partnerships at Carnegie Museums, where he works across all four museums to advance strategic initiatives in government relations, community engagement, partnership development, and institutional collaboration. Situated within the Office of the President, he builds relationships with elected officials, community organizations, educational partners, foundations, and business leaders to support the museums' public impact and long-term priorities.

With more than 15 years of experience in strategic planning, community engagement, partnership development, and external affairs, Jonathan has worked across the nonprofit and public sectors. His work focuses on creating meaningful collaborations that expand access, strengthen communities, and position cultural organizations as vital civic assets.

Jonathan serves on the Board of Directors of Reading Ready Pittsburgh, the Board of the Oakland Business Improvement District, and the Advisory Board of Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, where he serves on the Government Relations Committee. He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, Amy, and their two rescue dogs.
